The Norwegian Refugee Council in Geneva has redesigned its expense process to be simpler and leaner. The expense solution Edi enables employees to capture their receipts via mobile devices – even in foreign languages.

Initial Situation

NRC Geneva was looking for a digitized expense solution for several reasons, with time efficiency and environmental considerations being the top priorities. They wanted to streamline the expense process and make expense administration as paperless as possible. With Edi, NRC found an answer to the rapid developments in the high-tech sector and joined the digitalization trend with this modern and innovative expense solution.

Solution 

Employees can now effortlessly submit all expenses digitally in accordance with internal guidelines. Expense receipts can be captured via mobile devices in just a few clicks, regardless of location. Furthermore, the system can read receipts in foreign languages. With the introduction of Edi, the entire expense process was streamlined and made more intuitive for both HR and employees. Today, the finance department and supervisors have access to a clear listing of expenses in real time. The administrative workload for employees has also been significantly reduced.
